Ok, so her official birthday is on Friday the 22nd, but we had her party this past Saturday, and it was a lot of fun. It was a bit on the cold side and threatened rain most of the time, but in the end we lucked out. It was quite a big turn out for a three year old, even with some cancellations she had 30 people attend. Most of her buddies showed up, and three of her four California cousins made it too. Everyone ran around the park and played for about an hour. Then came time to decorate cookies. It was really cute.
All the kids sat around the table adding frosting and sprinkles and really concentrating hard on making beautiful cookies. Some of the kids didn't even eat them; although that could have been because they overloaded on eating the frosting while decorating. Next came soccer and catch and finally was the cake. We ended after a walk around the park looking for bunnies. I don't think any were spotted. Madeline has been asking for her party all day today too. She keeps saying, "tomorrow morning, when I wake up, we go to my party mommy. At the park mommy."
