The memorial/remembrance for my Grandpa Bill was over
President's weekend, so we packed the car and headed to Arizona. The kids
just thought we were heading over to see family, it was best that way, and they had a great time. Even at the service, which was absolutely lovely and if you'd like to view information on that it's much better recounted at this address then in my blog, they didn't know what was going on really. They were just excited to see all the aunt's,
uncles, grand parent's and all the great versions that went with it... We went to a basketball game in the afternoon on Saturday and everyone had so much fun. Wesley is still talking about it. He randomly walks up and says, "I went to basketball game. Sparky scary. No like Sparky". Sparky is the mascot for
ASU and from afar was fun but up close was terrifying for the kids. Sunday we went to the park and played for an hour and then went across the street to see their
Bepa's childhood home and admire the Christmas tree that he and their Great Granddad planted 52 years ago.... That afternoon it was over to Peg and Clayton's to hike, play and generally have a good time with the family before we headed home Monday.

Uncle Adam with the baby cousins. Wes wants up too.

Jim and Wesley wearing their
Bolo ties to the memorial service. Looking good!

Aunt Jan, Great Aunt Betsy and Grandma
Pik getting ready to cheer on the Sun Devils.

Madeline at the
ASU game.

Jim and Madeline hiking with Aunt Peggy. It is a lot cooler on this trip.

The live Christmas tree that Grandpa Bill and my dad planted 52 years ago. Look how tall it is now.
