Easter Number 1

Easter number one was a week early this year. We headed up to the annual Easter Extravaganza at Casa La Cuesta on the Saturday before the big day. We explained that the Easter bunny was good friends with Grandma and Grandpa and decided to come and leave some treats for them early. We had a fantastic brunch with Grandma and Grandpa and The Fisher Crew. The kids chowed down on ham and fruit and then were ready to play... Baseball was the choice event for the day so all the kids played some baseball with Doug and Jim. Of course the older boys were awesome, but it was really fun to see Wes connect with the ball. He really got a hold of it a few times when Doug pitched and slammed it to outfield. It was fun for him. (Check out the April album for all the pictures)

Next up was the Easter egg hunt. The same as past years. Jeb, Madeline and Wes did a smaller hunt and then Jack and Jake did their hunt in the huge bag yard.. Wes kept finding them and we had to put them back... Madeline was helpful too but only when asked.

All and all it was a fantastic day... The best part was Jim and I got to celebrate our anniversary that night with a cousin sleepover. Adam and Shelly graciously took both kids on their first overnighter. With the exception of little sleep for the small ones, it went splendidly. Everyone had fun and behaved and Jim and I got to go out for dinner and sleep through the night without a wake up call, or rather several wake up calls. The kids have taken to waking us in the night for everything from potty needs to glasses of water. Its' very tiring!
