Easter this year started early and messy. The drive up to La Cuesta, where Easter was hosted by Grandpa and Mema, was filled with the repeated chant of "uh-oh sagetti-poe" (Madeline's version of uh-oh spaghetti-o) followed by the lovely aroma of vomit. Yes, poor Madeline got car sick on the way up, that was not much fun. After the car and Easter dress were all cleaned up the festivities began with a Cousin play-time, a delicious brunch and the Easter egg-hunts. Madeline absolutely LOVES going to see her Grandparents and she ADORES her cousins. She talks about them everyday and wants to go and see Jebby, Jake and Jack all the time. So she really has a blast when she is with them. Particularly when she is with Jeb. Jeb is only 9 months older than Madeline so they get along really well, constantly playing and having fun together and of course mimicking each other. Whatever Jeb said Madeline would say, and vice versa. They had their mini easter egg hunt and then spent the rest of the morning scarfing down the chocolate and playing hide-and-go-seek. She is already asking for the next trip up to see Jebby, and unca Doug, and aunt Shannon, and Jakie and Jack and Mema and Bepa and unca Adam and aunt Shelly..... the list is long, and she goes through EVERY NAME, I'm not kidding. As for Master Wesley, in true form, he just chilled out. I had him strapped into the sling and he just watched everyone play, eat and hunt for eggs, and didn't make a peep. He is such a good little boy. Just sits there sucking his thumb and watching everyone. Since I don't have much to report for him, I'll post up his latest stats: height 27 1/2 inches and weight 17.4 pounds. I predict he'll be close to Madeline's weight by his birthday. She's still a mere 25 pounds, but is now 37 1/2 inches tall.
