Negotiator and Math Whiz, and she is goooood.

So Madeline is now a negotiator. She has picked up on my negotiation skills and is now applying them to everyone. It's utterly hysterical. Tonight I told her it was time for a bath and she looked at me and said, "Not bath time yet. Mommy, we do play-doh for four minutes, and then when we are done we take a bath. Yea, ok? We do that. Ok?" She looked at me so happily and full of expectation I crumbled and let her play with her doh. I did however set the timer for 4 minutes. That will teach her to set a time limit. Too funny.

Another interesting Madeline story. So we are driving to have a picnic dinner on Friday night, all 4 of us and the dogs. Jim, Madeline, Wesley, Me, Taiyo and Grace are all in the van and are cruising to the park with our mexican food. Jim starts quizzing Madeline about numbers. He says how many people are in the car? Madeline responds, 4. He says, if mommy got out, how many would be in the car? She says 3. He continues with if Mommy and Daddy got out how many would be in the car, she says 2. I kid you not. She proceeded to take it down to no one in the car. And now, the finale. Jim says well if we are all in the car and Unlce Adam gets in how many are in the car, Madeline responds 5. There you have it, she counts to 30 in English, she can count backwards from 10, she counts to 20 in Spanish and now she can do subtraction and addition in her head, the verdict is in, Madeline is a math whiz. Where ever did she get it? Certainly not from her mommy......hahahaaaaa.
