We had a great couple of days last week with Brooke, Matt, Campbell and Brooke's parent's. We hit Legoland on Thursday and went on a couple of rides. It was really crowded due to spring break but the Campbell and Madeline still had fun- lots of fun when eating churros. We also saw the fire show twice, "you put the wet stuff on the hot stuff. put that fire out." Thursday night was pizza at our house followed by 2 hours of putting the girls to sleep. The first few minutes were adorable, the girls talking to each other, comforting each other and chatting about their day. It was Campbell's first time in a big girl bed. She was in one of Madeline's twin beds. An hour later Campbell was asleep and Madeline was doing her best to wake her up so she could accuse her of goofing around. Finally be 9:45 everyone was asleep and the adults got a few minutes to hang out. And I do mean a few. We needed to get some sleep to prepare for the big trip to the zoo on Friday.

The zoo on Friday was another hit. Crowded of course, but fun. The Flamingos and ducks were Wesley's favorite part and I think the gorillas were Madeline's. She wanted to see polar bears but everyone was too tired, we had to head home by 1:00. All and all a fun time, but way too short. I didn't get much of a chance to hang out with Brooke, one of my oldest and bestest friends, and Madeline and Campbell barely got enough time to reconnect. Next time we will need to plan for a little bit longer of a trip.
