Fun with Friends

Summer is in full swing for us here in sunny San Diego. The heat and sun have arrived. Gone are the gloomy mornings of May and June, happily replaced with much sunshine and many trips to the beach and friends house. In the last week we've been to the beach and over to our friends Sofia and Nico's house to play in the pool. That was a really fun Friday for the kids. We spent a good couple of hours running around outside, playing in the pool and blowing bubbles. We headed in the house to make cupcakes. The kids are really funny and all want to help. There aren't too many steps with boed cake so having to divide it between a 4, 3, 2, and 1 year old is hard work... They each get "jobs" with cake making. One pours the water, one the oil and tjem each one got to dump in an egg. Then we rotated around the counter and everyone got to stir. Team work! After the cupcakes were cooking the mommy's got to enjoy some sushi while all the kids ate some mac & cheese and edamame. The night was finished with dancing to hi-5. Wesley's favorite show as of late. He runs around screaming "hi-bye, hi-bye" and hitting people's hand. He shakes his booty to the fun songs and really enjoys the stories too. All and all a great day and evening out. The kids came home and crashed to sleep around 8:00 pm. PERFECT!
