Madeline cracks herself up these days with jokes. Most of the time they are nonsense jokes, like --Knock Knock

Apple isn't going home for dinner... Yes, I know, not funny. But she just loves to tell knock knock jokes. She walks up to me and says ok mommy, I'll say knock knock and then you say who's there. do you understand?? So imagine my surprise today when she said to me, "mommy, how are a tree and an elephant alike?" I asked her "how?" and she replied, "they both have trunks." and then she immediately started laughing hysterically. I was impressed because it was a real joke that actually made sense. That's my girl!
