Visitors in June

This month has been filled with some fun out of town guests. In mid-June my friend Nancy came out for a fantastic 4 day visit. It was filled with trips to the beach, the park, special ice cream stores and of course a lot of hanging out around the house time. Nancy was a trooper, reading and re-reading the same books over and over. Madeline would just look up at her and say "again please" and Nancy would oblige. Isn't' that the nicest? You'll need to check back to see the crazy beach mud monster pictures another time. I had to use a film camera and still need to get those shots developed and uploaded.

Mad on the Ferris Wheel, Del Mar Fair

The next round of visitors was this past week. Our friend Michael and his wife Jen and their two year old son Dylan all came out for a 2 day trip to La Costa. The nickname of choice for the weekend was monkey. There were three monkey's going crazy at all times. The best part was no one had any melt downs or temper tantrums. Shocking!!! Considering everyone was staying at our house, we went out all the time and got no sleep. The group and the kids meshed well. We hit the Del Mar Fair on Thursday. You'll also see an adorable picture of my niece Katilyn chilling out on her favorite aunt's lap (that's me by the way). Friday we took everyone to the beach in the afternoon. Another great day! The kids were absolutely exhausted so the grown ups even got some quality hang out time at night. Unheard of, right?
