Muy caliente in Arizona

So we were all in Arizona last weekend visiting family in the hot hot Arizona desert, and as Jim put it, "it was spicy out". That is Madeline's new favorite thing to say, "oh, it's spicy today". Meanwhile Wesley tries to blow the heat out. Jim was out at the pool in the backyard with Wes and said wow it's hot out here, and cute little Wes said, "hot" and started to blow on the air to try and cool it off. TOO CUTE!
It was a great weekend visiting the family. Madeline and Wes had a blast and are talking about the pool non-stop. Jim got to hit a top 10 golf course on Friday while Aunt Peggy took me and the kids to the art museum in Mesa. They ran around for hours, did art projects and played with cars... Friday night was the traditional meal at Rosita's Mexican Restaurant, delicious, but not the best night. The poor kids didn't get much sleep the night before and had no nap on Friday so we had about 10 minutes of peace the whole hour we were there. YIKES.
We went out on a desert walk early Saturday morning. And boy was it hot... I even got some cactus stuck in my shoe. Good times... Saturday afternoon was the big birthday bash for Granddad Bill. 92- woohoo. Madeline and Wes presented their Great Grandad with two cards each and made loads of noise just to be sure that he could hear them. They screamed, they danced, they played. FUN FUN!!!! Madeline is always a big helper and she helped Peg make the frosting for his cake and is still talking about it now.
All and all everyone had a great trip and we are really excited about going back sometime soon, preferably in the winter.
